Mopesola Ogunsulire

Mope Ogunsulire has a background in international project & corporate finance and engineering and is currently working on mergers & acquisitions with the SGS Group (Société Générale de Surveillance). From 2004 to 2006 she was a research associate at IMD, Switzerland focusing on strategy, entrepreneurship and energy – she wrote several case studies on the strategic challenges facing companies in emerging markets, including Russia and South Africa. Prior to joining IMD, she was an investment officer with the International Finance Corporation (IFC, the private sector lending arm of the World Bank) where she structured and executed project finance transactions and arranged loan syndications for IFC clients in Latin America, Africa and Asia from 1998-2003. In addition, she also managed a portfolio of debt and equity assets, as well as managing relationships with syndicate banks. Before joining the World Bank, she worked for several years in construction project management and structural engineering design, focusing on water, power and transport infrastructure projects both in the private sector and with the Environment Agency, UK. She holds an honours degree in civil engineering from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and an MBA from IMD, Switzerland.
