Andrew De Rozairo
An engineer whose general management potential was recognised and nurtured by Lucas Automotive. Since his Sainsbury Management Fellows sponsored MBA, he has run a number of software ventures in Europe. Andrew is now European Director for Bradmark Technologies.
- Andrew was always more interested in the hands on side of engineering, rather than the theory, and a gradual move into general management facilitated this.
- Early in his career, his management skills coupled with his fluency in several European languages led to the opportunity to set up a European Sales Centre for Keiltex in Frankfurt.
- Lucas Automotive also recognised his potential and sent him to Japan to set up a joint venture to design and manufacture anti-lock braking systems (ABS).
- He is now European Director for Bradmark Technologies, a database monitoring and administration software developer.
- Andrew is responsible for large account sales, reseller partner development and European strategic partnerships, including Sybase and SAP.
- Andrew says that the Sainsbury Management Fellows network gave him the opportunity to talk to people in a similar position. He feels that the support infrastructure gave him access to ‘active case studies’ where he could discuss issues confidentially and give and receive advice.
- Andrew feels that the SMF network also gave him credibility when talking to large potential clients and investors.
