Jo Hallas

Senior Executive and Director with P&L responsibility and extensive international experience of leading commercial operations in blue-chip consumer products businesses. Track record of driving change in a wide variety of business settings, with particular focus on growth. Key strengths in strategy development, cross-functional operations management and people leadership.

Jo's most recent role was with Bosch as Vice President, Commercial Operations with P&L responsibility for the EUR 200m turnover Lawn & Garden global business unit.
Prior to this, Jo spent 11 months in Bosch’s Power Tools Division in Stuttgart as Director of Finance and Controlling Projects undertaking a wide-range of strategic assignments for the Power Tools executive committee.
Before Bosch, Jo did an MBA at INSEAD, which she completed with distinction in 2003. She also undertook an internship at McKinsey & Company in London during this time.
During the period 1993-2002, Jo held a number of positions at Procter & Gamble. She started working as a supply chain consultant in Germany, before moving to the USA to establish and lead a group to develop P&G’s global Cost Accounting processes. Jo then moved to Bangkok to lead the restructure of P&G’s headquarters, manufacturing and distribution operations in Thailand and Indonesia, including the re-engineering of systems and work processes for over 1,000 users. In 2001, Jo moved back to Germany to work on a study that culminated in a $3bn outsourcing contract.
Jo graduated from Cambridge University in 1993, with a degree in Engineering and a post-graduate diploma in Computer Science. She is a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE). She has also completed the Institute of Directors' Diploma in Company Direction.
