The SMF Award is £30,000 per successful applicant and applies to
a full-time MBA course at the following business schools: (The
scheme does not support the study of part-time, distance learning
or executive MBA courses.)

Netherlands

Spain
SDA Bocconi in Italy

France
Business schools in the USA:
Harvard
MIT
Stanford
Wharton
Columbia

University of Chicago
A suitable candidate will:

be a UK citizen normally domiciled in the United Kingdom

ideally have a first or upper second class honours degree in an
engineering subject

have Chartered Engineer status or be making substantial progress
towards it; Chartered Engineers will be given priority for panel
interview places

have the potential and ambition to achieve senior management
responsibility early in their career
The award of a Sainsbury Management Fellowship will depend on
the candidate obtaining a place at the chosen business school using
the school's normal application procedure.
