What do you hope to achieve through your MBA experience?

I hope to participate in experiential learning opportunities that challenge me to think critically and empathetically, build strong relationships and form lifelong connections with like-minded individuals who share my values and vision. With the HBS focus on developing well-rounded leaders, the programme will provide me with the tools I need to continue to accelerate my vision, both through my work and through my involvement in my community

Where do you see yourself career-wise in 5 years’ time?

In five years, my career aspiration is to gain top-line accountability and leverage my operations expertise, and leadership skills to solve complex problems that drive growth such as product management or general management. Ultimately, I hope to use my MBA to launch a successful and fulfilling career as a global leader in the technology industry that allows me to make a meaningful impact.

What are your expectations of being part of the SMF network after business school?

I hope to gain access to a network of talented professionals, including other fellows, business leaders and industry experts to build a meaningful connection that can open door to partnerships and collaborations.

How do you hope to support SMF after you graduate from business school?

I hope to support SMF through several opportunities e.g., provide mentorship to young engineers, provide financial support and be involved in SMF initiative when possible.

How did you go about finding about financial support for your MBA?

I leveraged both the HBS website and other sources i.e., spoke to friends and HBS Alumni, and conducted internet searches.

How did you learn about the SMF scholarship?

I first learnt about SMF from a friend and, also, found SMF on the HBS websites focused on external funding.

How was your experience of applying for the scholarship?

I enjoyed the experience. Though it can be quite daunting, I appreciated the opportunity to reflect on my failure, the lessons I had learnt from it and how I have been successfully applying those lessons.
