What some SMF scholarship winners say…..

Rachel Fitzsimmons (CEng IMechE; BA MEng, Cambridge University), INSEAD:

“The increased financial security the scholarship has provided will give me peace of mind during my time at INSEAD and allow me greater flexibility in my career choices in the years after I graduate. Beyond this though, the network and support of the SMF mean a lot to me. I am proud to be a member and have already enjoyed conversations with other fellows. I look forward to strengthening these ties in years to come.”

Ian Taylor (MEng, University of Durham), Stanford Graduate School of Business:

“Joining the SMF community of 300+ leading engineers in business has vastly enriched my network. I see it as a lifelong platform through which we can collaborate on engineering ideas and can navigate the business world together. This scholarship has granted me the financial freedom to seize exciting, yet risky opportunities associated with following a meaningful career path in frontier technology.”

Sam Szamocki (CEng MEng, University of Warwick), INSEAD:

“This scholarship has given me the financial security and freedom to get the most out of business school whilst providing access to an unparalleled community of accomplished individuals at the SMF. It has made a huge difference to how I am approaching business school now, knowing that a large part of my debt is already paid off, I can pursue more risky ventures such as entrepreneurship”

Jacob Mills (CEng, MSc Imperial College London, BEng Hons University of Bristol) London Business School:

“The scholarship has given me the freedom to consider extending my MBA over a longer period (as the LBS programme is flexible), and it’s released a financial burden, allowing me to consider a broader range of career prospects. ”
